To day we do full day trip to Ubud and see all tradional house and culture in Taman Nusa Bali where located in Banjar Blahpane, Desa Tulikup Village,Gianyar Distric Bali which is 30 minutes drive to east of Ubud where is 1 Hour drive from seminyak center to east direction.

Start at 8.30 am from Seminyak we drive to Taman Nusa Bali, this place is show up the all traditional of Indonesian traditional house and culture, in Taman Nusa Bali we can see all traditions such as traditional dance,local people as how they leave at their compound.

From west of Indonesia untill east of Indonesia is present it there in Taman Nusa, and for us was interesting to see the traditional house of Papua Native and also traditional house of Toraja.

The Taman Nusa Bali is builded on 9 Hectare land,visiting around the all area can be take 3-4 hours walk on slow enjoy the route and also there is possibility to borrow a buggy or small golf car to take us arround with local guide there with free of charge provided.

Ticket to visit Taman Nusa Bali to see the real indonesian traditional house in a day only 350.000 idr per person for tourist and for local is 100.000 idr per person, we allowed to bring our own food and drink and also there is a restaurant there where is served really good indoneisan food with local standard price but we where not having lunch there because we where hunting for Ubud tipycal cullinary of crispy duck. Over all was interesting to visit the Taman Nusa Bali from there we don’t have to fly to other island to learn the local tradition and culture of indonesia.

After spended half day from morning to afternoon in Taman Nusa Bali we heading to Ubud to have lunch as we wan to have a tipycal traditional Ubud food as Crispy Duck . 30 minutes drive from Taman Nusa Bali finally reach at Ubud , one place looking good on beside of rice field is grab our attentions to stop there is call Teba Sari Warung Restaurant and we rapidly make stop there and check the menu they have, and binggo found a crispy duck listed on the menu and all of us having lunch there with Ubud deliciuse yummi taste on great flavour traditional crispu duck and also we have Ayam betutu ( chiken steam ).

After lunch , we continue our trip to visit the rice terrace of Tegalalang where located in 5 km norh of Ubud. A beauty terracing is refreshing our eyes when is hot temperature has been start from 9 am in the morning, well as specialy listed on google weather Bali has strom and rain but the reality is totatly on other way around we got so hot and dry and fully of Sun hot now this year . No rain at all, hopely get rain because lot of rice farming is not really on well condition because it to dry. Lucky in high place near Tegalalang rice terrace there is Lake Batur just under the Batur Volcano still irigated the field on arround the area . But in some low area is completly dry, hope this case will change soon .

After we enjoy the view amazing of rice terrace we drive down to visit Ubud Market and Ubud Royal Palace, but along the way there is huge green coffee farm attack our attention to stop and finally we decided to make a stop at big farming call Bali pulina, is interesting the farmers here explain us how they grow the coffee plan and process the bean also here we have seen the Luwak coffee and the grand mother do roasted coffee bean we have seen here and meet Mrs. WAYAN she is the laddy there offer us to try the product they have make it there and we pleasure to have great chair offer looking to their farm and enjoy the coffee there. And finished our coffee finally we heading to ubud town .

From the north side of ubud we drive by country side on back yard of ubud city see more traditional Balinese Village where is. Some rice field has been changed to the villa and holiday resort, well is sad to see but iam sure before it happen the owner of the land it has thing twice to have it. Well on our 30 minutes drive finally we reach at Ubud City, crowded has begin .

Park our beauty car in Ubud Parking center where is located north side of Ubud palace where is the street name is Jalan Suweta is an modern parking concept with hourly charged where is per hours cost 3000 Idr  snd very safe, my recommend if you drive uour own vehicle please don’t lose ticket park because will be complicated in the end to get out of it.

We walk to Ubud palace from Ubud parking center, is take 10 minutes walk slowly slowly , is masive and beauty building is front of our eyes , Ubud Royal palace has a name as well Puri Saren where is the local name we call it in Ubud there is 3 defferent part area of the palace where is there area out side we call Jaba Sisi,Middle Part JABA TENGAH,JEROAN the center private area.

Jaba sisi the funtion is like area where the king of Ubud welcoming the guest who is come to visit ubud royal palace, as ussual if there an special guest visit the royal palace , will be there an welcoming show dance as balinese dance will be welcoming on the stage on jaba sisi.

Jaba Tengah the funtion is as welcoming the visitor who visiting the royal palace to meet the King of Ubud. Therr is meeting building at the middle srea jaba tengah where is on that building there is an chair rounding the table meeting, as the story i hear from the man work in the palace that chair is kind of important place when the King of ubud make a decicion to resolve the problem what the visitor have .

Jeroan the function is private area for personal of king family, the ubud king had view wife , where on this time already pass away but the photo we still can see it on listed on the wall of building. Normally the tourist not allowed to visut the private area.

Last stop we make on our trip is Ubud Market , located just cross the road of Royal Ubud Palace , the traditional ubud market is start to open at 4 am nd there is 2 different part of markrt where is on east side mostly open for sale a food and west part is specialy an art market . We when visited the art market see the most popular art they have in ubud market traditional, is kind of unique place to see where all different art hand made is there in ubud market.

In Ubud market we take around and have a look the art of ubud and my advice for next visitor to ubud market please dont ask the price of the thing if you don’t really like to have it because they will hold your hand till you dealing with it then they let you go 🙂  . And finally satisfied in day trip we do on late afternoon we drive back to Jas Villa in seminyak .

Temen Village : Next after the rice terrace , on the afternoon we will visit the coffee farm to know more about the LUWAK coffee, is one of the interesting place have to visit in north of Ubud. Luwak coffee is coffee made from coffee cherries which is have been eaten by and passed through the digestive track of Asian Palm Civet ( Paradoxorus Hermaphroditus ) . After collected the beans is processed hygienically and given only a medium roast so as not to destroy the complex flavors that develop trough the process and to have try the cup of coffee luwak in natural scenery coffee farm will be cost 50.000 IDR and also farmer will provided the free tester of Chocolate coffee, Ginger Tea, Mangos tin Tea and many of variant product of hot drink they make. Visiting coffee farm is free of ticket for visitor.

Ubud Center : Next place we will visitin the city center is Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace  and Art Market in city of Ubud will be the last of our stop place in the afternoon , visiting the sanctuary of Monkey Forest of Ubud is one of famous thing to do in Ubud City , the monkey in Ubud Monkey forest is has calm character ,because they have manage by the village there, in the afternoon all the monkey will get feed by sweet potato,or banana. Play around with the monkey will be so much fun to see their activity , get a small bunch of banana the funny money will grab your attention to feed them , also in the  monkey forest there is an holy poll which is people doing pray by throw a coin and wish something and hoping get luck we can do in the holy poll beside the campuhan river. Seminyak Bali Driver by Putu Martika present the best tour activites in Seminyak Bali, to day we start our journey from Grand La Villais Seminyak. I have been ready at 08:00am at looby hotel of Grand La Villais Seminyak and waiting for Mr Michel and Miss Robin from Amsterdam.

Promised with Mr. michel and Miss Robin to do day trip to Ubud within starting activity white water rafting in Ayung River, after meet Miss Robin and Mr Michel finally we leave the La Villais Grand Seminyak at 8.30 am and start to go to payangan north west of Ubud, whitin 1 Hours and 30 minutes from Seminyak pass true short cut road finally we make it there at Payung Rafting office company at 9.40 am.

Finally after doing the registration and adminitration and we paid the ticket 35 Usd per person included lunch buffet. Well in start point we meet Wayan the rafting guide who will attend and company us in the boat rafting, begin with introducing the safety helmet and life jacket to ware, honestly and friendly Wayan the rafting guide explaint us how to pedal on the boat and all the intruction while on the river, on 16 km distance from Start point to Finish point within 2 Hours 40 minutes time needed.

Start the Rafting i was get back to my car and bring the all bags of them to the car and drive to south direction to finish point, “How about Locker ?” There is no locker or safety box in Ayung rafting company mostly,that we have to keep all of our important things in the car where i have to take care of it . But while rafting, the guide will provided us the waterproff bag with included inssurance for our things for excample camera,phone .

Arrive at finist point i try to look for parking space and found the shadow for the parking, waiting and watching movie on you tube what i do in 2 hours time. I see the flag, and yes they coming back, finally mr Michel and Miss robin has arrive at finish point, funny Mr Wayan the Guide carry all the soes and carry all the stuff. And immideatly i ask to mihel and robin how is it ? They just say with lot of briding , yeah “Super Fun ” and i let mr michel amd miss robin to get their thing in the car and get shower and do a change of wet clothe .after shower they having lunch on buffet restaurant in Payung Rating finish point and on the same time they have look the potho where is taken while on their rafting by profesional photografer with small fee charge if they like the photo.

That was our rafting experience for the day , with super fun result . Will you like to try too ? Well after rafting we hadding back to south direction  to Ubud and reach there in ubud at 3 pm because we speend till 2:30pm for rafting, fell tired michel and robin take the Spa in Ubud wich is we have recommended by tripadvisor and also view of my friend told me to go to YEH Spa Ubud where located in Sanggingan main road just cross the road of Indus restaurant Ubud

Reach at YEH Spa mr Michel and Robin take 1 hours massage, the price is affordable and quiality is the best with profesional terapist and after the spa i have asked to michel and robin how is the massage balinese ? The answer is Excelent . Happy to hear that, and in Yeh Spa there is serveral package to choice, full treatment and any scrub is available there, but we was lucky as normally have to book first but this time we just walkin guest there and get best offer. And then after the spa we continue our trip to visit Tegalalang Rice Terrace.

With 20 minutes drive by short cut road to avoid traffic busy road in main street of Ubud we reached at Tegalalang rice terrace where is perfect timing because the time when is the sun positioned on west and bright to east make that perfect monent to get a best photograf with view and backgroud ofnrice terrace. There is ticket 10.000 idr per person  to visit the Ceking tegalalang rice terrace .

After we enjoy the view of rice terrace, we have continue our trip to visit the Cofee farm in north of Rice Terrace over looking the sunset on rice field views , we visited Bali coffee farm call Bali Pulina, really nice presentations from the staff farm there and also we have seen the Real Luwak Animal on the wild there on their farm. And we have servered also a free Bali Coffee for testing there, over all was great visiting the Bali Pulina Chocolate and Coffee plantations .

And after that we finished our journey for the day trip wich is great and fully fun day and we had drive back on late evening to Grand La Villais Seminyak where located in Jalan Pangkung sari banjar taman seminyak within 2 hours drive back from the Coffee farms . Kemenuh Butterfly Park located in Kemenuh Village south east of Ubud, the second butterfly park in Bali which is the first one located in west of Bali in Penebel Village . Ubud butterfly park has recently open this week 1th October 2015, Kemenuh Butterfly park as the information from the staff which i have introgate it has 300 spicies butterfly and the park collect some different variety of butterflies and on their larvas area we can see how is the butterly born from their shell and here there is an staff to guide us and honestoy telling us more about how is butterfly become fly and how the butterfly on their life also possible to see conservation, having education,and of course attraction in Kemenuh Butterfly Park. For entress fee that we pay to visiting this ubud butterfly park they charge us 100.000 idr per person for adult and 80.000 idr per person for the kids.and also in Kemenuh Butterfly park it has restaurant and the price for a simple food in the restaurant is not so expencive and as standard price and is wrote with the views terrace rice from the restaurant here in Butterfly park, the background of Kemenuh Butterfly park is an spectacular rice field and wonderfull tropical environment. The park as habitat of the adult butterflies ( imago ) is designed in such way based on insect need . The plants dominated by tropical beautyful blossom as the food of adult butterfly imago . Splashing water fall and fish filled pond enrich the beauty of the park, occasionally some butterfly are resting on the leaves of the plants and give you taking picture opportunity on them .

After we enjoy coffee we can visit the next place we can continue to visiting the amazing Elephant Cave temple  goa gajah where located in 30 minutes from the Butterfly park  where we can see the relief archeology when Hindu religion start to begin in Bali. To visiting elephant cave temple Goa Gajah there is ticket 15.000 idr per person and we will get to borrow sarong as balinese costume to entering the temple holy area.

Ubud city center is another option to visit on this trip, where we can visit the Monkey forest and also ubud artmarket also palace of Ubud is open for public to know more about Ubud Dinasty King.

Pura Gunung Kawi temple has two different places has two same name and they are related to each other. This time we have visited Pura Gunung Kawi wich is located in Tampak Siring where is not to far located from Holy Spring water temple Tirta Empul in Tampaksiring in small city north east of Ubud.

Gunung Kawi temple is one of the amazing view and nominated best scenery temple in Bali, offering an archeology education about life in pass hundred year which is the world when is Dinasty of King Udayana on 400 centurys ago. The Monument in the temple is a monument of funeral of his son and also builded for his quen. Arriving at Gunung Kawi temple we will offered by beautyful of rice terraces wich is i have attached on the picture and also unique of cave gate to enter the first temple area. Where is on the left side after the gate we will see the first Candi, and crossing the brigde we will pass true a river where the river has very clear water and also has a huge stone where normally is good place for meditation in the river . Walk true the center part of the Gunung Kawi temple you will see the archeology of the stone house where i trust art on long time ago has very high fusion and has strong character , treeking to the top area we will find a relief on an road side walk and also the water fall small one is decorated along the way, trekking area on rice terrace side will refreshing your eyes after big trip climbing the stair. Fresh air and smell of rice is what we will fell and small place to have a fresh coconut drink is available along the trekking side with cost 15.000 idr for whole young coconut drink.

Tips and Advice : visiting Pura  Gunung kawi temple will little confuse of course in the begining of arrival, because every one in the shop will present you a sarong as the balinese costume to ware to visiting holy places. But  how is work to avoid over charge of sarong ? Once you arrive there, please walk true the ticket counter and buy your ticket dirrectly there on the counter with cost 15.000 idr for one person adult, and 8.000 idr for one child. After buy a ticket walk true to the next gate where is sarong will be provided and that is included on your ticket price, one of the missing system ticket i see that sarong is not provided on first ticket counter where we pay the ticket thats make confuse make people relaist have to buy or bring their own sarong but after walk view step will found sarong counter for free on hidden counter thats where we will get our saromg for free to borrow to ware to visiting the temple. That is the true to avoid the push by local shop to buy sarong.

Arrived at Bali airport at 12.15pm i have been ready to wait for Mr.Russel Family in Bali Airport with Hold a sign of his family name. View minutes after the plane arrive, finally i meet the family Mr.Russel within 3 person passenger . And with small lugage,we walk true the parking area to get our vehicle .

Drive true sunset road is take us about 20 minutes where is no traffic that time when we pass it, as ussual the biggest traffic is only on the u-turn in front of Carefour supermarket , arrive in main street of kerobokan seminyak we drive to find four juntion of Lio Square or local say four juntion of Petitenget or traffic light near the jail/prison of kerobokan . On the way every one asking to stop foe lunch and they are Vegetarian , wow a bit difficult to find a place where is vegetarian restaurant, but lucky i remember the one restaurant small one provide a vegetarian in Warung Taulan located in rice field north of the jail of kerobokan , we get to turn right and pass true small street and reah on kedampang street where is Warung Taulan is, happy they love the food on my recommendation restaurant. And on the restaurant we do disccuss our tour plan for the next two day , where the family decided to do on firat day to visit Ubud, Barong Dance,Rice terrace,Coffee Farm , water fall, and Batuan Temple, and on the second day do an adventure activities white water rafting in East Bali where is very popular rafting in Telagawaja river under of Agung volcano then food coming every one having lunch, after we have lunch we continue our trip to the Bali Ayu Hotel where is just ten minutes drive from Warung Taulan, arrive in the hotel Bali Ayu Villa in petitenget road. Then i drive home and having a rest because next day will big day .

Time is runing fast, first tour as the plan we start the tour at 8.30 am the first place we gping to is Batubulan Village to se the Balinese Dance where the son of Russel so happy to see the Balinese traditional dance and take a photo with Balinese costume, only in this place we can see Balinese people wearing Balinese traditional costume daily . After the Balinese dance we continue our trip to visit the Batuan Oldest temple, just drive about 30 minutes from batubulan village included traffic finally we reach in Batuan Temple, we get to borrow a sarong there and the unique of this temple rule is there is no ticket but is just donation only which is how much we can afford for an donation and we have to put it on the box donation provided and write a guest book as visitor records. Then we entering the holy area in the temple, which is we start to fell the aura calm amd relaxing in side the temple, and see some collection of archeology was founded on the pass building of Batuan temple and over all our visiting time in this temple was awesome.

Then we continue to Tegalalang Rice terrace where is located on the north east of Ubud where is on the way to Batur Volcano, on the rice terrace we have short time visit where every one taking a photo where is so hot on tempereature, in Tegalalang rice terrace there is ticket where we have paid 10.000 idr per person , and car park with extra cost is provided and but i prepare to park the car on the street side because lot of driver do it and i join them, all was good no police find me :-), after rice terrace tegalalang we continue to the Volcano Batur. Drive wiyhin 30 minutes with out traffic we reach at Batur Volcano, and pull offer by ticket man which is visitor of Batur Volcano have to pay ticket to entering the Batur Volcano view point. We have paid 30.000 idr per person where i do little bit of negotiation with the man that the kids or hildren can be pay half price. Where we have done the payment then drive continue to view point. Seem evey one has been hungry and start to looking a food. Some restaurant local and serve tipycal of Balinese Food which is use pig where they told me “Haram” and not good for it  since they are muslim i turn around and we start to looking for Halal restaurant which is only one i found recommendation on internet called Batur Sari.has located on second entreess ticket to enterring volcano area, where is the food there serve as the same as ussual restaurant as buffet but they have a certificate Halal then from 100 meter we have seen the sign and no wait longer we turn the car there and wvery one have the lunch there. Cost for lunch is only 125.000 idr per person for halal food buffet.

After enjoy the lunch we drive down to ubud direction, pass true the small street where is beautyfull scenery along the way of Nature original Balinese forest, next stop we going to visit the Temen Village where is Balinese Coffee house is. Visiting the local farm of coffee plantation, welcoming by Huge beautiful coffee garden and all look so green and welcomed by friendly farmer and the farmer have serve us a free test coffee of the product what they have there as also the special luwak coffee Bali. And the farmer have offer us to try the luwak coffee wich is the coffee has chosen by Animal call Luwak. That coffee he ask the little cost 50.000 idr and taste of coffee is soo good. And of course have so many different type of coffee is present on our visit in their farm.

After coffee plantation, we drive down to Ubud to visit the moneky forest in Ubud City.  Entress fee is 30.000 idr perperson on locket counter, the monkey in Monkey forest ubud is much friendly then Uluwatu Monkey , the monkey in Monkey forest Ubud i guess is get use to see the visitor so they just keep doing thier activities while the visitor wlaking around the forest. And here in Ubud monkey forest was so funny to see activities of the monkey, specialy the tropical forest of ubud monkey forest is amazing well combined with the holy temple down to river side.

After the monkey forest in late evening , from ubud we drive back to Hotel Bali ayu in raya petitenget seminyak. Within 1 hour 30 minutes druve we reach at seminyak , it was full day trip with satisfied experience to see culture and nature and Balinese tradition in Ubud from Seminyak. Arrive at seminyak we disccuss of the time for our next day plan to visit east bali to do White water rafting at telaga waja river and also fliying fox there. After short disccuss we decided to start on the next day at 8.00am to be there at east Bali at 10 am. And then i drive back home after the long day with fully fun and experienced culture and nature tour.

Then Second day, time is running fast . To day as the appoitment we start our journey at 8.00 am to drive to East of Bali with destination of Telaga Waja River. We have choiced the company call Alam Amazing Adventure for our activities provider company because it has good recommendation on trip advisor also good prices.

After long drive from Seminyak finally we reach there at Alam Rafting company in Telagawaja river where is the rafting start point. Reach at Alam Rafting Company at 10.20 am , directly Mr Russel buy a ticket for rafting and fliying fox at Alam reception ticket counter , with the price 35 usd per person for White water Rafting included lunch ,and 20 Usd for Fliying fox per person price. Beware some time we see the price for rafting is 30 Usd that is not included lunch,drink,and inssurance ! Requiried 5 Usd for inssurance and food lunch, we decided to come there directly so we can see what is the real price to avoid the tourist trap and get our private rafting boat so not going be shared with some one else on same boat because the boat has maximum 4 person normally. Well done, we have shettle all payment and ready to go. Get trained for all safety equipment and companyed by experienced master rafting make all doing well. First thing we do is fliying fox . Kids first and mr russel and madam russel . Then private boat is waiting for white water rafting after the fliying fox. After they finished the fliying fox i take the car and wait for them in finish point where is 16 km after the start point . To get to finish point i have to pass true the Bukit Jambul the Jambul Hill and there is a sign of Alam Buffet on the right side of the road there is lane where i have turn left and follow all the way till the finish point. While waiting i do rest for 1 hour . Then the rafting group is starting coming after they enjoy the amazing rafting in Telagawaja river. I meet Mr.Russel in the last group walking on side rice field. Just one question i have, How is the Rafting Sir? He said ‘putu this is Amazing we should do it again on next holiday ‘ and then i show him where is then toilet to take shower room and also the restaurant to have a buffet lunch. Then after lunch, staff from alam rafting invite us to see their photo collection from the rafting river , where they take amazing photo of mr russel when he peddaling on boat. With small extra fee for photo grafer he buy the photo for sweet memory. Then after it we finished at 3 pm after resting and lunch and changed clothe . So now time to go back to hotel in seminyak Bali Ayu hotel within 2 Hours drive again from under of Agung Volcano east Bali Telagawaja River. Reach at the hotel, every one was tired and say good bay and hope i can meet them again to be the Driver and Guide in Seminyak Bali.

That was view from many  of the bautyful day trip i have done on this week. Due time driving so little time to share my experience with every one .
