We start the tour early from Villa Malou which is located in Jalan sari Temulu gang khayangan no.3C seminyak phone number 081 238 145 664 or 087 862 262 399 . Some time is hard for reach a call to the reception ! And to find the villa, aim sure if you try to call more time villa reception will pick up and answering your call.

And we leave the villa at 6.30am drive to the Harbour of Padang Bay in the east of Bali where the fast boat departure at 09.00 am by Eka Jaya Fast boat to Gili Trawangan. And from Seminyak to Padang bay harbour is take us about 2 hours drive.

And the speed boat ride to Gili Trawangan is take us about 1 hour and 30 minutes . As departure from Padang Bay harbour, the fast boat firstly stop at Teluk Nare Lombok for 10 minutes for visitor who like to visit Lombok so they can stop over at Teluk Nare harbour and then boat continue to Gili Air and stop there for a 10 minutes as well for transit passenger and then the last destination of the boat is Gili Trawangan. So finally we reach at Gili Trawangan by 10.30am.

Gili island is a great paradise, here we enjoy the greatest white sandy beach and so relaxing, and this chance on limited time we did a Cycling tour about an hour by renting a Bike on small tourist service in Gili trawangan and we almost made visiting a half of the island on bike tour, its a small island there is no motor bike or car like in seminyak so no traffic warranty and also we did a swim at great blue clear beach at Gili trawangan.

Since we are here for one day tour as our limited time, a nice bar grabbing our attention to enjoy the cocktail on Beach side of Gili Island fresh seafood grill on lcal restaurant for our lunch it was super duper delicious. The people a so friendly even we know they are not Bali area.

Over all this over land tours from seminyak to gili trawangan on day tour for us is unforgettable on little paradise experience of Gili Trawangan. Time running little fast since we arrive , because we have to be back at the Gili Harbour at 2.30pm due the boat back to Bali is leave at 15.00pm from Gili Trawangan to Bali padang Bay harbour.

Yes almost forget, the boat ticket to Gili Trawangan is cost us 300.000 idr per person one way so for return trip we paid for 600.000 idr per person and that is included insurance boat trip. We both a ticket directly on harbour on official ticket officer since we don’t want to have any hassle by booking ticket online. Well pay cash for any ticket attraction in Bali is a way much better than online booking ticket. Because for sure we don’t have to pay for a commission for the third-party company as we paid for the net price.

Finally time to return to Bali and the boat was little bit delay 30 minutes and make us leave from Gili at 3.30pm and the delay because of the boarding passenger have to wait for view more people where is little bit late come to harbour. Well is normall and we are fully understand, Gili Trawangan to beauty and make the traveler don’t want to leave from Gili Trawangan.

Arrive in Bali then we are get ready to drive back to villa malou and is take us 2 more hours and reach back to villa malou at 7pm. Over all this trip was amazing over land trip, and this trip is an answer of your dream to visit Gili Trawangan on day tour from Seminyak.

And it was a great case as well, when returning from Villa Malou to back home i make on time to drop my friend who was stayed at Villa Landuh Seminyak to Kuta downtown. Penglipuran village is a traditional village which has their own character, belong to the district Kubu- Sub district Kubu amd Bangli regency. The beauty of the village and the surrounding act that penglipuran village is untouchable village by the modernization era. Supported by the fresh air by the height 700 meter above the sea level, give the comfortable for the villager and visitors.

The surrounded Penglipuran Village are Desa Khayan, Desa Gunaksa, Desa Kubu and Desa ceking. The village which is consists of one village and smaller village, administratively is very easy to adjust. Penglipuran Heroes Monument

This memorial lies in the southern part of Penglipuran Village covering area of 1.5 hectares with Balinese style. Its Curayudha Hall is a venue for certain activities, which is equipped with parking area. The memorial was built in 1959, dedicated to the revolution war in Bangli led by captain Anak Agung udita with his troops. The monument aims to remind people of struggle of Captain Anak Agung Anom Muditha and his troops who were dead in facing NICA (Dutch).

It is about 21 km from Denpasar and can be reached by car easily with a good road condition. In the 17th century during the golden period of Mengwi Kingdom, I Gusti Ketut Karangasem, son of Gusti Agung Made Agung (King of Mengwi) founded a temple in the midst of nutmeg tree forest, later it was called bukit Dari Temple.

Such nutmegs can not be found in other places in Bali, and thee existence at Sangeh is a mystery. The nut meg tree forest with extent of 10 hectares is a holy territory that is securitized by Sangeh Customary Village and its vicinity. In the middle of such green and dense forest, lives over 600 tame and friendly monkeys that all the time appeal to visitor, Part from functioning as sacred places, the forest along with the monkeys comes to be fascinating tourist object that is worth visiting.

According to the mythology from the local villagers, the word Sangeh is derived from the root “Sang” that means a determiner for person and “Ngeh” mean seeing or observing. It is said that the nutmeg trees growing in the forest were originated from Mount Agung that performed a journey to Tama Ayun. They would be going to festoon the garden belonged to Mengwi Kingdom. Their journey was carried out in the evening to avoid from being observed. Unfortunately, people saw the nutmeg trees walking in a procession. They suddenly stopped. Spot where they stopped was named Sangeh that means one who sees.

A small temple blanketed or covered with mould is hidden among the high nutmegs. The back pillar of the temple is carved with an eagle statue, a mystic bud which is told in the story of Samudramantana to be seeking for holy water (caled Tirta Amerta m Balinese language) at the bottom of the ocean. Then, thanks to his met to seek for the holy water, the eagle was presented with a swallow of the water by the God manifested as Wisnu (Batara Wrsnu), and eventually became the faithful vehicle of this God.The other legend tells that the inhabitants of the forest are monkey soldiers that were used in the battle of killing Rahwana. The monkeys fell down together with hunks of mountain forest that were used to press Rahwana’s body, and then settled permanently in that forest
The other story also tells that a princess Mengwi kingdom named Mayangsari, who was smitten with love, faded to be engaged, finally fled to the nearby forest, and became a hermit. In her escape, she did not wear any sheet of dot so that she had to use her long hair to cover the most forbidden part of her body. She faced to each her dream, died mysteriously. The local community believed that the goddess now becomes Batari Mayangsari.

About Bali Botanical Garden

Bali Botanical Garden is officialy known as a Kebun Raya Eka Karya Bali. Eka Karya refers to this being thr first Botanic Garden which has been established following indonesian independence and thus to first to have been established entirely by Indonesian.

History Bali Botanical Garden

In 1958 senior Balinese official requested the departement now called the centre Biologocal Research and Development within the indonesia institute of sciences, to consider establishing a botanic garden with the dual roles of reserach institute and recreations park. The the director Prof. Dr. Kusnoto Setiodiwiriyo selectd a location covering 50 ha of reforested land held by the Goverments. On 15 july 1959 Bali Botanical Garden was officially established on the slopes of Tapak hill, Candikuning village an altitude of 1250-1400 meters above sea levels.

Bali Botanical Garden was originally established as collection of species of coniters (non flowering seeds plants or gymnosperma) from throughthe world and as a place for recreation, It was also equipped for scientific, cultural and tecnical activities. Development stopped around 1965 because of the insecurity of the period. If was not until 1970 that the garden began to be gradually rehabilitated. On 30 april 1976 the restoration was completed and as part of this area was increased to 129.2 ha and the function broadened from primarily a collection of conifer to include ex-situ conservationsof plants from high altitude seasonally wet dry areas in eastern indonesia.

In 1998 the Bali Botanical Garden covered an area 154.5 ha and contained about 16.000 plants collection, consisting of over 1500 species from over 320 genera and 155 families. Some of the specialist collections includes, orchids, ceremonial plants, medicinal plants, catus, ferns, bamboos and trees. The four main function of Bali Botanic Garden are, exploration, inventory, reserach, conservations, educations and Recreations. The institution offers a number scientific services and facilities in support of plant research and conservations including herbarium, library, glasshouses, nursery and plants registration database.
