Arrived at Bali airport at 12.15pm i have been ready to wait for Mr.Russel Family in Bali Airport with Hold a sign of his family name. View minutes after the plane arrive, finally i meet the family Mr.Russel within 3 person passenger . And with small lugage,we walk true the parking area to get our vehicle .
Drive true sunset road is take us about 20 minutes where is no traffic that time when we pass it, as ussual the biggest traffic is only on the u-turn in front of Carefour supermarket , arrive in main street of kerobokan seminyak we drive to find four juntion of Lio Square or local say four juntion of Petitenget or traffic light near the jail/prison of kerobokan . On the way every one asking to stop foe lunch and they are Vegetarian , wow a bit difficult to find a place where is vegetarian restaurant, but lucky i remember the one restaurant small one provide a vegetarian in Warung Taulan located in rice field north of the jail of kerobokan , we get to turn right and pass true small street and reah on kedampang street where is Warung Taulan is, happy they love the food on my recommendation restaurant. And on the restaurant we do disccuss our tour plan for the next two day , where the family decided to do on firat day to visit Ubud, Barong Dance,Rice terrace,Coffee Farm , water fall, and Batuan Temple, and on the second day do an adventure activities white water rafting in East Bali where is very popular rafting in Telagawaja river under of Agung volcano then food coming every one having lunch, after we have lunch we continue our trip to the Bali Ayu Hotel where is just ten minutes drive from Warung Taulan, arrive in the hotel Bali Ayu Villa in petitenget road. Then i drive home and having a rest because next day will big day .
Time is runing fast, first tour as the plan we start the tour at 8.30 am the first place we gping to is Batubulan Village to se the Balinese Dance where the son of Russel so happy to see the Balinese traditional dance and take a photo with Balinese costume, only in this place we can see Balinese people wearing Balinese traditional costume daily . After the Balinese dance we continue our trip to visit the Batuan Oldest temple, just drive about 30 minutes from batubulan village included traffic finally we reach in Batuan Temple, we get to borrow a sarong there and the unique of this temple rule is there is no ticket but is just donation only which is how much we can afford for an donation and we have to put it on the box donation provided and write a guest book as visitor records. Then we entering the holy area in the temple, which is we start to fell the aura calm amd relaxing in side the temple, and see some collection of archeology was founded on the pass building of Batuan temple and over all our visiting time in this temple was awesome.
Then we continue to Tegalalang Rice terrace where is located on the north east of Ubud where is on the way to Batur Volcano, on the rice terrace we have short time visit where every one taking a photo where is so hot on tempereature, in Tegalalang rice terrace there is ticket where we have paid 10.000 idr per person , and car park with extra cost is provided and but i prepare to park the car on the street side because lot of driver do it and i join them, all was good no police find me :-), after rice terrace tegalalang we continue to the Volcano Batur. Drive wiyhin 30 minutes with out traffic we reach at Batur Volcano, and pull offer by ticket man which is visitor of Batur Volcano have to pay ticket to entering the Batur Volcano view point. We have paid 30.000 idr per person where i do little bit of negotiation with the man that the kids or hildren can be pay half price. Where we have done the payment then drive continue to view point. Seem evey one has been hungry and start to looking a food. Some restaurant local and serve tipycal of Balinese Food which is use pig where they told me “Haram” and not good for it since they are muslim i turn around and we start to looking for Halal restaurant which is only one i found recommendation on internet called Batur Sari.has located on second entreess ticket to enterring volcano area, where is the food there serve as the same as ussual restaurant as buffet but they have a certificate Halal then from 100 meter we have seen the sign and no wait longer we turn the car there and wvery one have the lunch there. Cost for lunch is only 125.000 idr per person for halal food buffet.
After enjoy the lunch we drive down to ubud direction, pass true the small street where is beautyfull scenery along the way of Nature original Balinese forest, next stop we going to visit the Temen Village where is Balinese Coffee house is. Visiting the local farm of coffee plantation, welcoming by Huge beautiful coffee garden and all look so green and welcomed by friendly farmer and the farmer have serve us a free test coffee of the product what they have there as also the special luwak coffee Bali. And the farmer have offer us to try the luwak coffee wich is the coffee has chosen by Animal call Luwak. That coffee he ask the little cost 50.000 idr and taste of coffee is soo good. And of course have so many different type of coffee is present on our visit in their farm.
After coffee plantation, we drive down to Ubud to visit the moneky forest in Ubud City. Entress fee is 30.000 idr perperson on locket counter, the monkey in Monkey forest ubud is much friendly then Uluwatu Monkey , the monkey in Monkey forest Ubud i guess is get use to see the visitor so they just keep doing thier activities while the visitor wlaking around the forest. And here in Ubud monkey forest was so funny to see activities of the monkey, specialy the tropical forest of ubud monkey forest is amazing well combined with the holy temple down to river side.
After the monkey forest in late evening , from ubud we drive back to Hotel Bali ayu in raya petitenget seminyak. Within 1 hour 30 minutes druve we reach at seminyak , it was full day trip with satisfied experience to see culture and nature and Balinese tradition in Ubud from Seminyak. Arrive at seminyak we disccuss of the time for our next day plan to visit east bali to do White water rafting at telaga waja river and also fliying fox there. After short disccuss we decided to start on the next day at 8.00am to be there at east Bali at 10 am. And then i drive back home after the long day with fully fun and experienced culture and nature tour.
Then Second day, time is running fast . To day as the appoitment we start our journey at 8.00 am to drive to East of Bali with destination of Telaga Waja River. We have choiced the company call Alam Amazing Adventure for our activities provider company because it has good recommendation on trip advisor also good prices.
After long drive from Seminyak finally we reach there at Alam Rafting company in Telagawaja river where is the rafting start point. Reach at Alam Rafting Company at 10.20 am , directly Mr Russel buy a ticket for rafting and fliying fox at Alam reception ticket counter , with the price 35 usd per person for White water Rafting included lunch ,and 20 Usd for Fliying fox per person price. Beware some time we see the price for rafting is 30 Usd that is not included lunch,drink,and inssurance ! Requiried 5 Usd for inssurance and food lunch, we decided to come there directly so we can see what is the real price to avoid the tourist trap and get our private rafting boat so not going be shared with some one else on same boat because the boat has maximum 4 person normally. Well done, we have shettle all payment and ready to go. Get trained for all safety equipment and companyed by experienced master rafting make all doing well. First thing we do is fliying fox . Kids first and mr russel and madam russel . Then private boat is waiting for white water rafting after the fliying fox. After they finished the fliying fox i take the car and wait for them in finish point where is 16 km after the start point . To get to finish point i have to pass true the Bukit Jambul the Jambul Hill and there is a sign of Alam Buffet on the right side of the road there is lane where i have turn left and follow all the way till the finish point. While waiting i do rest for 1 hour . Then the rafting group is starting coming after they enjoy the amazing rafting in Telagawaja river. I meet Mr.Russel in the last group walking on side rice field. Just one question i have, How is the Rafting Sir? He said ‘putu this is Amazing we should do it again on next holiday ‘ and then i show him where is then toilet to take shower room and also the restaurant to have a buffet lunch. Then after lunch, staff from alam rafting invite us to see their photo collection from the rafting river , where they take amazing photo of mr russel when he peddaling on boat. With small extra fee for photo grafer he buy the photo for sweet memory. Then after it we finished at 3 pm after resting and lunch and changed clothe . So now time to go back to hotel in seminyak Bali Ayu hotel within 2 Hours drive again from under of Agung Volcano east Bali Telagawaja River. Reach at the hotel, every one was tired and say good bay and hope i can meet them again to be the Driver and Guide in Seminyak Bali.

Seminyak to Ubud affordable fare by putu martika host driver in Seminyak Bali Driver. We have start our journey from Kumpul Kumpul Villa Seminyak , where the kumpul kumpul villa is located in strategic area of Seminyak, to get kumpul kumpul villa from Seminyak road we follow direction from the north side of seminyak road to Kuta beach direction , then on the right side of the road you will find Sun Island Hotel , just cross the road or on the left side of the road we will find the the lane or in Bali we call it Gang and in that gang we have to turn left and drive view meter we will find a kumpul kumpul villa seminyak, the unique of this Villa , it has so many branch and some time is confuse to find if some address just say kumpul kumpul villa, because is there several defferent villa.
We begin of our trip at 08.30 am , settle all the bag and lugage true in side the car and we ready to drive, with first destination we visit south of Ubud as Batubulan Village , well located just 1 hour drive from seminyak which is north of Denpasar our capital or metro in Bali. Batubulan village, our first destination to see the Balinese Dance show intertaiment call Barong And Kris Dance, perfomed from 9.30am till 10.45 am that show us a unique of spirit power of magical. Where is Barong is simbolic of Good spirit and Rangda the scary character on mask is simbolic of Bad spirit, which is two charter on human mind ,and Keris Dance on the end of the story dance played by human man where try to hit them selves by the Balinese knife call Keris where is mean human want to removed that both character in the mind but that is imposible. The ticket entress fee to wacth this interesting and fantastic Barong and Keris Dance performance we have paid 100.000 idr per person as writen price on the ticket and we get it on the couter ticket on stage in Batubulan.
After we watching a Barong and Keris Dance, we continue our trip route to the next Village. Celuk village located in 10 minutes drive from Batubulan village, Mrs. Maria one of my customer requested to have alook on silver factory but not in touristy place. But when we arrive in Celuk village all the shop along the road its seem like prepared for tourist there, we have park our car in Indomart and we start our little walk on main street of Celuk. We have seen the interesting place call Angle to angle , seen the collection where i have joined to visit the gallery and we just found more like vancy style . And Maria asking me to look for info where is Silver made as Balinese style etnic which is what balinese women ware to going to temple or combaining with Balinese costume! Well my head brain start to get running to thing about where, and finally i run back to the car and have alook my agenda, where normally i write all info that i founded as importand thing to remember. Page to page i have double read, till i found note ” Silver maker in Balinese House ” then i keep reading for 10 minutes till i read “Yan yan silver” i when to this place last 4 years ago with other people, then i told them all info i founded back. Then we take our car drive to inside the village area, where wow just what i can say. Corretly here where the all stuff as Balinese style silver jewellery made. And then one of the girls who work in Yan yan silver art family, explain us how to make it and what is matterial combination . And Mrs. maria love this place and she got some thing from this place for her jewellery made on original balinese style .
After the Celuk Village, we continue to drive to Batuan Temple to see how is look like the inside the Balinese Temple. As in other temple, as visitor or tourist we are not allowed to visit inside the temple, and most of the time the temple is normally just for worship only. Accept this temple, located in batuan temple we allowed and we have to borrow a sarong as balinese costume provided by temple and we have to give some donation . This time we make a donation 10.000 idr for all of us and the staff who attended the temple give us and help us to ware a sarong, but the staff wasn’t help me ! Because she know iam balinese and smile she offer me that she told me you know how to do it ! Actually iam waiting for she do it for me . Hehehe! Well, Batuan temple is the oldest temple in south of Ubud is builed 430 century ago. Batuan temple is one of the biggest temple in Sukawati regency and located in Batuan Village. As the other village in Bali, normally each village has a 3 defferent village publich temple which is special offering present to the God Brahma ,God Wisnu,And God Ciwa. Where is Brahma God has a temple call Pura Desa or Pura Bale Agung as we trusted on Hindu Religion Brahma God is the God of fire and who created all the life in the world. Then Wisnu God , has a temple call Pura Puseh as we trusted on Hindu religion in Bali Wisnu God is the God of water and located in rice field , where is we believe also Wisnu God is the God who take care of all the life in the world. And then Ciwa God, the Distroyer God as Hindu religion in Bali we trust Ciwa God is reincarnation God where is Ciwa God has special temple in the village call Pura Dalem, and located of Pura Dalem normally is near or cross the road of Cemetery . Well, the unique of the Batuan temple is there is 2 temple become together in one place. And it has 2 same building where is normally in one temple only there is one building main one we call it Pengaruman or we trusted where is the God stayed in. And also there is many other building i have explained there and we have seen also archeology temple there.
After the Batuan temple, we drive continue to Waterfall Tegenungan. Located in 30 minutes drive from Batuan Village, we arrive in Tegenungan Village. Park our car in special new parking area and welcomwd by kids try to sell us a fan traditional and post card. Big smile the litle girl offer me a post card and Mr, Romi buy some from the girls. Then we get to pay ticket 10.000 idr per person and 5000 idr for parking car. Walk true the main road on 200 meter walk more less, we reach to water fall and amazing view we show it in front of our eyes. Then every one want to come closer to water fall by following step road stair to get dwon to the big river . With 1 hours in total we make small trekking to water fall till the river and Over all it was very nice scenery view here.
After the water fall of tegenungan, we continue to the next stop as the Hotel in Jalan Hanoman Street Ubud, but this time Every one have seen on the sreeet some one collected something under the coffee tree and every one want to get closer and see what they do. I make U turn on main street and back to small road and park the car on street side. And every one start to visit and talk with farmers in Coffee farms. I was surprice with what they collecting as other people as well, i tough they collect some thing from the ground like a stone. But by the time i get closer i see the farmer collecting the Coffee Bean on their farm which is coffee bean is inside of the Poo. I start to recordnize that is luwak coffee, and that is the best coffee in Bali. I take some video how the friendly farmer show us around their farms, and they offer us to try some coffee and every one decided to have try Luwak Coffee and it was so Good taste and now every one on my thalf day tour companion, knows exactly how the coffee grow im tropical area.
Finished in Coffee farm we continue our trip to check in to the hotel in Ubud located in Hanoman street ubud and the hotel name is Nick’s Homestay. This hotel is kind of backpackers place and it has cheap room. I see the inside while i bring the bag to the room and is nice one and it has a breakfast included and also WiFi. NICK’S Homestay is Great Located near monkey forest just 10 minutes more less to walk to monkey forest and all around Ubud City.

Seminyak to Sidemen by Seminyak Bali Driver mr.putu martika, yesterday was doing a briliant day trip to sidemen from Seminyak with Mr.Cedric and wife from France, we start our journey to Sidemen at 8,30am leave from seminyak and visiting serveral interesting place along the way to the east.
First place that we visited is Batubulan Village where in Batubulan Village we have visited the Balinese performance dances Barong and Kris Dance where is start at 9.30 am and finished at 10.30 on 1 hour duration, reach there in Batubulan village mr cedric immidiately buy a ticket for two person which os cost him 200.000 idr so is 100.000 idr per person , and he when in to enjoy the dance . And after the dance , we continue to visit the Batuan Temple the oldest temple in s9uth of Ubud, where here we just pay a little bit of donatoin and the staff in the temple provided us a sarong as balinese costume to ware to visit inside the temple to borrow wearing there.
After Batuan Temple , we going to next destination is Sukawati Art Market. Here mr.cedric visited the real local art market and get some souvenir in the market as a present from Bali. We try to looking for coffee luwak but we can’t find it in the market, there is the fake one and taste no good, so we prepare to get it in Ubud forest coffee.
After sukawati art market , we continue to Ubud coffee farms, where here we can see the real animal produce of luwak coffee, and we have an try the real coffee by enjoying served on a cup of luwak coffee where is cost us 50.000 idr where we have been try to get one in street coffee shop which cost us double, and other trial coffee in coffe farm we get it for free serve on the table. Finished coffee, we continue to pay our bill of luwak coffee in the chasier and mr cedric get some coffee for souvenir and his morning coffee luwak at home. Was interesting every time i come to coffee farms, always the garden look defferent then last visit.
Afer coffee farm we continue to visit the water fall tegenungan , located in Blahbatuh south east of ubud. The ticket here only 10.000 odr per person then we can enjoy the view of beauty panorama water fall in tegenungan Village. After the water fall, we go to drive to small restaurant in south Ubud to have a lunch, we get in to teba sari restaurant where in this small restaurant we have a typical food of Ubud Bebek Krispi or Crispy Duck. And after here we heading to east of Bali, drive pass true Gianyar city and then 1 hour drive we reach to Klungkung.
In the middle of Klungkung city, our destination is Kerta Gosa where is located side the market of Klungkung and there is ticket here to get in to palace of klungkung city where is 12.000 idr per person . Here is the detail i can explain you now . Most of people know about two kinds of calendar system : 1. Solar system Calendar and the 2. Lunar system calendar. The solar system mostly used internationally, is based on how many days the Earth rotates around the sun . So one year has an average 365 days. The lunar system is used in some asian countries, is based on the time taken by the moon to rotatearound the Earth; which is 29 days +12 hours + 44 minutes so that equation times 12 equals 1 year for the lunar system.
Where Bali uses yet another calendar system. Bali uses the Wuku system based on the week. There are 30 weeks in one cycle ( Balinese Oton ) two oton is one year. So one Oton is mean 210 days so one year in Balinese Calendar system is mean 420 days.
The Balinese calendar system is used mainly for religious purposes such as : to know the auspicious days for farmingand raising animals,starting a bussines,determining the date temple ceremonies,and making a birthsday ceremonies ( Otonan) and other ceremony as Hindu in Bali.
