This temple was build as a glorification of his previous predecessor king, and the temple was a place for worship or a blessed place of Rudra as well as glorification of Dhang Hyang Nirartha. The annual ceremony is held on Anggarkasih wuku medangsia at uluwatu temple following the counting of Balinese calendar. Since the rign of the kings of ancient Bali, this temple was managed by the reigning monarch at the time. During the reign of the king Badung arround 1812 caka / 1900 AD  this temple was manage by his majesty king and his family taken turns. Visiting the Uluwatu temple there is ticket 30.000 IDR per person included sarong on provided after visitor purchase the ticket as the entrance fee.

Kecak and fire dance : Performe at the open stage of Uluwatu Temple from 18 :00 Pm to 19 : 00 Pm. Kecak is a form of Balinese dance and music drama that was developed on 1930 in Bali. Kecak become special because the accompanying music is provided by Human vioce ” The Gamelan Suara ” a choir hundred or more sitting in concentric circles, swaying and standing up. This dance telling about Ramayana story that the monkey of Hanuman help prince Rama fight the evil king Rahvana.
